Now, some of you may have done the same research I have and come up short just like I did, but I kept going and found some interesting files in the Install Dir. I have extracted them and typed out the script for them; read below:

first is the name of the extracted file; I used afcextr.exe and ww2ogg, so you can actually go and look yourself if you don't believe me.

might unlock new data.

I have also found all of the audio files for Zaeed and Kasumi, yes; KASUMI, the as-of-yet-unreleased DLC char.

so from what you've read above, will this be a Liara/Shadow Broker DLC?

Now some people are saying that releasing a Liara/Shadow Broker DLC doesn't really fit BioWare's MO; because it's central to the plot, but is it?

there's nothing in it... yet.

If other people would like to help me out and find any more information, I would be greatful...

so far I have gone through the first 12,000 audio files of about 49,000. I don't have good internet so any research anybody else can offer would be nice.

Well anyway, it would be good if Bioware could make a DLC that could lead us to the Shadow Broker. I think no one has ever seen him. But yeah, ending the Shadow Broker story could rip a hole in the plot, especially since ME3 is in development.

But a minor DLC that could let us see who the Shadow Broker is would be cool and rewarding.

I think some further exploring into the nature of the Shadow Broker isn't a bad idea or detrimental to the main plot. Outright finding and destroying him might though. Especially since he may be part of the ME3 story.

I mean in this regard we could also explore finding out who Miranda's "very powerful and influential" father is. Perhaps he and the Shadow Broker are one in the same?!

We'll see...

Well, what I was thinking, is this; it wouldn't be difficult for BioWare to make a Liara/Shadow Broker DLC for this game, people have said it is central to the storyline, things like; "How did you body get from floating around in deep-space to an operating table in a cerberus facility?" this question has been floating around the internet more and more, as-of-late, but the 4-part-comic tell you *most* of that story and why liara has hardened. plus - look at the time-line: the first of the comics came out in january, the last one is due to come out in april, then tey are going to bring out a "Graphic Novel"; which is bascially all of the comics together.

so; almost five months? It would only be one new mission and one or two levels. A few new animations, I think they could do that.

AND it would not really be something that would affect ME2; only ME3.

Like; for example; they have now released the Hammerhead, this only has five missions in ME2, but will it play a major "mako" role in ME3, chances are, even if you didn't download it, it will still appear in ME3.

I would also like to point out a possible SPOILER... "Dark Energy". You remember; Haestrom's Sun? Veetor? or possibly Gianna? they all make mention of dark energy? ME3, Possibly a weapon against the reapers? just thougth I'd give you something else to ponder on...

By all accounts,, the story between 1 and 2 was that the
Shadow Broker wanted Sheps body to sell to the collectors but
Liara got Cerburus to Sheps body first as she knew where the
Battle happened.
So her Venom for the Shadow Broker is Based on that.
It is also another reason why Cerburus hates the Shadow Broker.

They could set it up where, Shepard kills the Shadow Broker, and then Liara steps up to take the place of the Shadow Broker. Wouldn't be a bad idea in my book.

If Liara is outmaneuvering him, then its time for him to retire anyways. Maybe it's like the dread pirate roberts, but if you beat the shadow broker you become the shadow broker. Just makes sense that whoever the shadow brokers people are, they wouldn't want someone who has been beaten.

I've done some more studying; if Liara were to become the shadow broker, then what role will she play in ME3, in my opinion this could be implemented with no real problem;

i.e. if you have not played ME2 - the generic role is that Liara has not found the shadow broker yet, then there is a quest in ME3 in which you can do so;

if you have played ME2 but did not find the Shadow Broker (ie; you did not download the DLC, or did not finish the mission) then there is a quest in ME3 in which you can do so;

or

if you have already killed the shadow broker in ME2 then Liara is still grateful for the help that Shepard gave her in tracking down the shadow broker.

these are only examples, but it shows you how easy it would be to implement a decision like this, you see, the DLC for ME2 will not have any real effect in ME2 - but will most likely have, or, take effect in ME3; take the hammerhead, it only has five missions, so far, in ME2, but in ME3 it could take on the MAKO role of planet-side exploration. The same could apply in the case of a "Liara/Shadow Broker" mission. no real effect in ME2, but bringing something to ME3, even if you don't have the DLC for ME2.
