I haven't read a lot about this but how is health care for everyone bad? Other countries have done well.
You'll be paying more taxes, I get that. You'll be paying for unemployed people, you might end up being unemployed and in need of health care someday.

It'll probably be hard at first with the current economy but looking at the big picture I don't see how this could be bad.

It's not health care for everyone.

It's a government mandate that everyone must buy private insurance plans.

In the end they will lay their freedom at our feet and say to us, 'Make us your slaves, but feed us.'

I've lived in two different countries with health care in my life and seriously you Americans don't know what your missing. I have survived quite well in NZ/Ozzy. I see a doctor when I need too, I have had surgerys which have cost me nothing. I do not see how anyone can be against this in the sense of the care you guys are going to receive. I gotta tell ya though, the amount of money you guys are willing to shell out to have insurance is mind boggling. hundreds per month, plus having to meet a deductible, thats nut, I've spent roughly a couple of hundred dollars on on my health in my life time, not per month like some of you Americans.

The bottom line as to why so many people are against this is Government control. And now, the Government controls our health care. And its not going to stop with health care...soon the Government will get bigger and bigger and bigger. This is how a Government slowly takes over a country.

I mean they already tried to take away our guns. Thank God the Supreme Court voted 5-4 on that one.

And Obama just placed a tanning tax. Out of all things. A TANNING TAX! Reminds me of...you know...things like. The tea tax. Paper tax, etc...etc...

Well when you live my lifestyle.. in the fast lane. You need that sense of security. I've had more concussions than I can remember *laughs at irony.*

I've also heard that senior citizens are greatly affected by this, meaning they lose their insurance. Is that true?
-Just one kiss took away my breathe,-
-And you drew me in with your tenderness,-
-You captivate my soul, I'm enraptured.-
-And you knocked me out, and you locked me up,-
-You stole my heart like a thief in love,-
-You hold me tight in our happy ever after,-
    -I'm captured.-

The idea is for a family to pay $12,000 EXTRA a year. $9000 for individuals.

Can you afford $9,000 a year beyond what the government already takes?

WHAT!? Obama can take my guns, take my women, and take my freedom. But to place a tax on tanning??? That's a knife right to my heart/wallet. He has officially crossed the line now.

What I probably dislike the most about this whole mess is the fact that the government has added so much to the debt in this country it's outrageous. My children's children are going to be paying for things like the stimulus bill that had no affect on them whatsoever. The timing for this was not good at all. We needed to get the economy back up and running again before such a huge ordeal such as this should've even been considered.
