Ok, I finished it twice now (the second time because I'm an Idiot and didn't use the good ammo and the recharger the first time). You can break it down to this:

    take STALKER and then deduct:
-all rpg elements and 95% of the weapons/equipment
    -all sidemissions
    -all outdoor areas
-about 20 hours of game time
    -the complete multiplayer aspect

what you get is a more or less decent story for 6-7 hours with no replay value. I'm glad I just rented it for 3€ and didn't spend 50€.

That is what I needed to know. Why are games these days so criminally short? I sometimes play 6-7 hours at a stretch, and I wanted a game that lasts long for at least 16-24 hours or so...I am not getting this game.

@saurabhfzd: Yeah, which is why I loved Oblivion more than Fallout on the basis of environment. But anyways its always a thrill to venture in a post-apocalyptic zone, and to find the bizarre creatures and kill them (Only happens in games...LOL)

Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

now that you mention the creatures, I think there were not even 10 different types of enemies. But I must confess, I loved the Russian-English, the ballalaika, and the Russian jokes that are absolutely not-funny in other languages.

"Yolki Parki, dis is like bad Cholliwood movie about Sovjet Union" says someone when the transport lift breaks down after 30 seconds of running.

    LOL...EPIC PHAIL!

This reminds me of "In Soviet Russia, you don't make jokes, jokes make you".

Thanks for the comment. I think what you are saying is the truth. Cause many-a-times I ended up not getting games that were very very good, like F.E.A.R. - Which became my favorite first person shooter. It was criticized for being short too.

but FEAR has a great mp, I still play it from time to time. It's the only game where you can tag sb with a granade and then detonate it 1 second before he reaches flag base

    Graphic - 8 of 10 (good)
    Animations - 8 of 10 (good)
Game play - 6 of 10 (just another liner fps game)
Weapons and shooting - 7 of 10 (feels unrealistic and poor)
Enemy's and AI - 8 of 10 (well not much to say)

Overall it just feels like playing Half Life 2, was looking forward for this game but now I'm glad i did borrow it from a friend before buying it.
