That is unfortunate... Lets hope we are lucky enough to have a patch released that fixes this problem. I will be keeping my eye out for anything.

You're right on the money there..
Started a new game, didn't buy anything till after the first Station. Now everything is fine.

Yeah I wish I had read this sooner. I got fed up with not being able to use any assault rifle so i looked here. However I was (now I'm going to have to restart) a little over half way through the game and have lost a lot of gameplay hours. Oh well at least now I know.

Happened to me too... restarting all over again. This time I will only use trainer for gas mask, invulnerability and ammo.

guys, i'm having the same problem....if it's possible, can any1 of u upload ur savegame in the armory so i could buy the AKs....otherwise have to start all over again....thanx a lot in advance

Yes, I guess a 100% complete save game (with all chapters) would be nice because from what I noticed the game separates the save into chapters . I started it all over again, but I am less interested in continuing now.

All you Have to do is not buy anything at your HOME STATION. You Pick up the AK when Bourbon gets killed. It's in the room where you meet Khan. I had the same problem at first then on the redo I did not buy anything at the home station where you start. And I was able to pick up the AK. This game is not really that long.
