Repeat the cie'th mission where you have to kill the adamantotoise. The base reward is a gold nugget (60k), and they common drop platinum ingot (150k). It takes me a bit over a minute to kill it, without the eidolon summon or vanille's death trick. Getting from the stone to the mark takes about two to three minutes, using chocobo and teleporting. That's about 12 times an hour, yielding a maximum of 2,520,000 an hour, excluding the chocobo treasure hunt.

I actually found a place in the Taejin's tower. From the first floor take the main elevator to the 4th tire, then hop off and take the sub elevator to the 5th tire, there should be a statue that give you mission 24, keep doing that over and over and the reward is an item that gives you 6 or 7,000 gil. The mark for the mission spawns right next to where you start the mission, and when you get strong enough, example being post-game, I can the target in 20 seconds or so and 10 seconds with back attack. I found have a party of Fang, Lightning, Snow works best for that particular enemy all set on COM. Also you gain 6,000Cp from the fight so its an ok place to farm CP while building gil at the same time.

Here is my two bits for gold and CP building. Forget Gran Pulse as I have better place to earn gold and CP at the same time. Many players of the game recommend that you take down the big boys because they drop platinum ingots and of course trapz which are worth way more than what you sell them for, BUT this is what I recommend you do. First complete the l'Cie challenge to get the grow egg which can be challenging. I used the death spell from good old Vanille. After this is completed go back to the portal which takes you to the last area and warp to the other area you have access to warp to. After this is done fight every enemy with the grow egg in the inventory and earn double CP and a ton of credit & incentive chips as well as quite a few Perfumes which sell for 12k each. Occasionally you might earn a platinum ingot from the big guy just outside the main entrance.

This worked great for me, I earned 999,999 CP per round trip. It took me about an hour or two to complete the whole area, but it was a lot of fun. I earned about 500k gold or so. Just my two bits.

EDIT: For just CP Farming, I have found that with the right combination of a fight team the Shao Gui (child of the big ones) offers a good amount of CP with the grow egg, 120k CP. Just make sure you have the right fighting team. I used Fang, Lightning, & Vanille to topple the big guy.
