But it's still "Build for Console". The last two were in fact perfect for PC, especially with LAN Games. Nothing like you and two friends teaming up against 5 Supreme and Hord AI. It's very sad when a publishers and Developers such as SquareEnix and GPG lower their standards from a Great game to a mediocre game just so it will be "console friendly". And as I mentioned above, the game looks to cartoonish. I want my SupCom to look rough and ridged, not like Lego, full of bright colors and fluffy things, with homosexual Cybran commanders making passes at you (play the story and you will know what I'm talking about).
I do however give some props to the actual story line (ignoring everything I said above) it is not to bad.
So in conclusion, GPG, PLEASE go back to THQ, SquareEnix is cramping your style! I wouldn't be surprised if in the following game we will see Cloud as one of the UEF Commanders
I'm sure it's a great game if you've never actually played SupCom or Forged Alliance, if you haven't, I would suggest you get rid of this game and trade it for those two.

I feel, after the first two, this was disappointing. Many features have been dropped. The FatBoy is weak no anti-air, you cannot assign multi-engineers to build anything quickly, only one engineer can be assigned to help SC to patch him up while in combat, point defense and anti-air defense are weak.. no upgrades to defense towers.. no floating air defense, no torpedo launchers, methods to upgrade are tooo slow.. Some features are great, “Unit Canon” to fire troops across the map (real nice) Air fortress builds fighters & bombers faster than the ground factory can, but most Great Titans lack air-defense making them weak, even after assigning an air group of fighters to defend they react too slow; even the Areal Titans are weak against fighters. With SCFA the air support was quicker to defend the titan you assign them to. Large groups of fighter/bombers will wipe out most things. It’s a race to get the research points to build a large air force or Nukes. It’s hard to balance the forces to defend and be on the offensive. If they would have combined the Forged Alliance with the new ideas of SC2 it would be GREAT but they dropped the good features from SCFA . The UEF seems to have better the better combat units overall.
It might just be me, BUT when I give the command for the SC to capture a moving object ... it goes to the point I told it to capture and NOT follow the movement of the Fracking object ... how stupid!!! Other objects within the game WILL follow other objects you assign them to except the Commander ... He is STUPID!!! BAD AI

Games for PC like SupCom should be taken to the maximum extent possible, and to create a bias (=]) they should not port the games to console. Including console ruins games in my oppinion. GTA is one of the very few exceptions.
Bring back the supcom we all waited 3 years for I say.
If this was a game named "Future Battlefield Commander" It would have been a 'Verry Good Game'. Unfortunately as the last 2 Games SC1 and TA were both masterpieces this feels like a let down and therefore only an ok or maybe a good game. . I understand that SC1 did not have the mass appeal of the C&C franchise. I am not sure that making a Good C&C clone was the answer. Its angering the true SC fans and does it bring in any more C&C players we will see.
I'm also one of those who like SC series more than C&C because the game is great compared to those C&C games, especially compare to those after Westwood had been swallowed by EA. The first thing to SC2 is its crappy graphic quality, I thought it was my display card problem but its actually not. Then is units' choices decreased too much; new econ system which I prefer the old one that spend on how much you are "spraying" out; unbalanced experimental power (that UEF final experimental is really the KING of all); spending research points upgrade (why do i have to wasting time re-buying the tech on every time mission starts?). Losing the old style taste on playing SC, I wish that crappy story line fill up back some gaps such as the restarted QAI at the end of FA's story.
