Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 2 - Chaos Rising Message Board  

So, we just wasted a whole day re-downloading the game and expansion on STEAM. Then tested the code AND the trainers and found that the most recent version of the trainer works perfectly fine with the latest Steam version.

Mine is still crashing when I load a map with the trainer activated. If I wait to activate the trainer when I'm in a map instead of the menu, then it doesn't crash but none of the options work =( may be a silly and dumb question but did you guys try it on the old chaos rising or the "beta" one. I'm currently using the recent 2.6.0.10153 of the beta. Thanks for looking into this old game though =)

I turned on steam

clicked install

it downloaded

I clicked play

ran game, ran trainer. no problems...


BETA? for a 5 year old game?

Um Beta has been done for years! I can tell ya for sure on that.

My friend and I have very same problem as jbhowler.

Yes Toki there is a "New" beta of the game with the GFWL shutdown they are removing that part of it from the game.

To be able to play it need to option-in.

If i option out of beta and run game no problems trainer and game runs without a problem.

But as soon as beta version, I can activate trainer in main menu but crash on first mission load. (This goes for campaign + skirmish).

We don't make trainers for opt-in beta versions.

Ah looks like they are going to us no paid testers for that one then. Oh well.

Once they are done with this no GFWL beta, will you guys revisit the possibility of making a trainer? Thanks =D
