Just check the Steam website and monitor what is downloaded (Can be done with the UI beta version client.) to see if anything was patched or changed.

For SupCom2 there was a new patch released a short while ago with a few smaller fixes, updates the EXE file so the old trainer won't work.

this as well as other reasons, is why i always run steam in offline mode, once a patch is out, and everything else has been updated like trainers, i will update my games. For now i laod the game, bypassing the auto updates, and my trainer works fine.

So ran the new trainer (Patch #2) along with the game and for the first time, my whole system is crashing and shutting down withing say 10-15min of running the game. Anyone else come across this problem too?

sounds like you need to turn down your graphics settings or something in the game... overheating.

I thought of that too but it had been running fine up until the new patch and trainer. I had it cranked and ran the game for hours without so much as a slow down really.

trainer wouldn't cause that problem... maybe something in the patch is causing your issues.

Quite true, was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing this issue, guess I’ll have to wait and see what Valve/Steam/Square Enix do.
