Its may happening due to your AV or system schedule that allowed it to scan all your HD or to do some back up or maintenance maybe ?

Its happening to me too, my laptop will be lag so much during a system maintenance, but its happened just for few seconds though

Are your laptop are connected to internet ? its can cause some problem too like a virus were scheduled to wreak havoc in some appropriate times or a program tried to connect to its server to update itself ?

Try to remember what u do in Friday - Monday !

    Deutschland Reich !!!

If you are running windows, in the search box type in "msconfig", enter, click on startup. Check what programs you have that start up that you don't need and uncheck them. Sounds like you might have a virus/spyware program schedule going on if the games work fine all the other times. If you aren't comfortable with the msconfig, just check your windows task schedular in the control panel and adjust if needed.

Other thoughts: Defrag every week being your a gamer and clean your internet history/cashe/files daily...

Click start, all programs, accessories, system tools. If you never defragged I guarantee this will help.

You can always google "how to defrag"
