This trainer isn't working for me, I'm on WIndows 10, and running the game through Steam (which starts up Uplay, ugh), the trainer activates, but nothing happens when any of the options are pressed.

It might have something to do with the trainer written for the RETAIL version of the game?

Some say it works for them on Steam/uPlay too, others say it doesn't.

Possibly but the trainer worked for me when I played and I have the Steam version. That was some time ago, though.

Has the game updated at all or is it still that 1.01 version?

Well it looks like there was a 3gb patch a few days ago for this 7 year old game, maybe that's the problem.

Interesting since that's almost half the size of the original install. When I Checked the Ubi forums, people are reporting after that update the menus are all Chinese and the game now has Chinese sub titles.

And this apparently happened in April. Somebody on Steam said you have to reinstall the game. Somebody else said that didn't work. Go figger.

Edit: It's now suggested for the Steam version to verify your game files and that should fix it.

Trainer crashes the game when selecting an option for the steam version. Verifying or reinstalling the game did not fix the problem.

Did you get the Chinese menus and such that people were reporting on Ubi and Steam?

If you haven't yet filed a Trainer Update Notification, that would be the thing to do.
