Steam Problems

    Can anyone tell me why when steam is updating it puts all the updated files on my desktop insted of the steam folder?

    It was doing it for ages then stopped and has just started again. I cut and paste them into the steam folder but al it does is update again and chucks the files back onto my desktop.

    you can got to your download programs properties and set the download path to be in your steam folder

    worked for me!!

    is that in steam if so cant find it and for now ive sorted the problem i uninstalled steam and reinstalled it. The problem was that i installed in on my external HDD. I went onto the steam surrport site and did what they said but it didnt help at all.

    yes just do as he said its suppose to be if you put it in an different path in case reasons.
