Hi, I loaded the 5008 version, but all I get is trainer cannot find game. any help?

I can't get either of the trainers for version 2.00.5008 to work. One crashes while Authenticating Trainer and the other does nothing when I try to run it. I have the Retail version of the game running on Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit. I have tried running them as Administrator, and tried putting them in the same folder as the game executable.

Just filed the third update request with the details. Same issues recently reported: most recent trainer get "game not found," second most recent will not launch, oldest trainer gets Windows error when launched. Have tried all the suggestions (alt tabbing, running as admin, etc.).

There are only two forces in the world, the sword and the spirit. In the long run the sword will always be conquered by the spirit.

It should be obvious that the game is not found if you try to use our latest trainer with the Steam version of the game as this trainers were written for the retail version = purchased in a box on a CD/DVD.

Please stay tuned.

And I just see you're running the GOG version. Well, our first go-to will be Steam as we already updated the trainer for the base game there. Which in your case might need a request for a new distribution platform trainer.

But maybe you're lucky.

Just FYI Anno 1401 is not available for purchase on Steam, so sounds like my best option is to get a refund for the GOG version and buy a retail copy.
