When i put a group of units into a ship, it shows as red, so usually you need to end turn to be able to move again, but when option 2 is enabled it stays red forever, i tried to disable option 2 when doing it, then i need to wait 1 turn everytime i move a unit over to another island and another turn to move the ship and units again.

Somehow this was not the case in E:TW.

i think this also goes for fleeing ships, if your ship has fled from a battle, you need to turn option 2 off and then end turn, your ship will then have a blue ring again.

I hope Caliber/pwizard will find a way to bypass this later on, i really hate being on a island and using two turns to move my units to the mainland.

    also explained in the instructions.

i don't know what you mean? as long as you were able to move that unit in the first place then it should be able to move as much as you want... into ships, off of ships, into cities, out of cities, attack places, etc. i have no idea if you lose a battle or are defeated if the game 'locks' your position. this is no fault of the trainer.

if your unit has already moved as far as it can go (i.e. you moved it to begin with with option 2 OFF) and it is locked, then turning the option back on does not give you unlimited movement for that unit. i don't see how this was any different than in ETW, as the option is put together the same way. in the total war series of games (before ETW) we did this a different way but the code has changed ever slightly as each new game comes out.

if your unit is already used all it's moves before you turn the option on, then the option won't help. you need to have it on BEFORE you move units and BEFORE they are already used all their moves up and CONFINE YOUR MOVES to the blue area when you ARE moving them.

    best,
    Cal

I never turn it off and on in E:TW and i could transfer my armies over sea without running out of movement points, so im sure something has changed, however i did use all my movement points in N:TW, wich is why i ran out of points when i turned it on the first time, now i turn it off before i end my turn everytime and all the problems seems to be gone.

    sorry for the trouble.

I believe in this game if you boarded the ship on the beach you will have to wait a turn for it to move again.
You can move the same turn if you did it from the port.
