In an earlier topic I mentioned that I felt the content in the game was kind of on the light side. I now have changed my minde after not only finishing the game but starting a whole new play through.

The reason I had the impression of the game I had earlier was because of what my expectations were going in. I was expecting something that would follow the same exact formula as the first game which Mass Effect 2 does not do.

That said this game will if you let it draw you in and make you want to come back for more.

I have to agree with you. I heard a lot of players claiming addiction or obsession and I'm usually pretty dubious of such things. After I bought it, though, I'm very impressed. It kind of reminds me of Dragon Age: Origins (most likely due to BioWare, EA, the journal and codex). It's a much faster pace during fights, though, and I love it. Not to mention the graphics are out of this world and I'm using XP. I'd love to see this with DirectX 10 or 11. I do wish the journal behaved more like in Dragon Age. I like being able to make quests "active" if you know what I mean. If there's a way to do that, please let me know.

I think that's a problem a lot of people had with ME2... having played ME1 they went into 2 expecting the exact same formula in terms of both story and gameplay.

I think ME2 is a great continuation of the ME story and Universe, but as a game it stands on its own as an individual game more than it continues the gameplay of ME1.

Well I'm currently on my 6th playthrough - which is the 2nd playthrough on Insanity difficulty. For some reason the game just keeps drawing me back. I've even found myself running through ME1 again too just to change some of the events in ME2...

I need some kind of ME2 Addiction Patch. Going cold turkey would probably make my head cave-in.
