If you don't have any actual experience with creating mods then you wouldn't know if what you asked were possible, therefore it was a perfectly valid question.

yea...it certainly is a valid question. no-one's born with knowledge. we learn as we go along. so..never be afraid to ask..even at the expense of sounding a bit silly.

    social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/103/index/889432/1

The topic at this link discusses modding in ME2. The beginning posts deal with what's been discussed here - editing of ini values to modify weapons and armour - but it looks like towards the end there's talk and examples of skins and models.

Check it out for yourself... it may have what you're looking for, or at least point you in the right direction.

    hmmm.

I figured that bioware used the same setup as in ME1, but apparently i'm wrong.

From the comments and the video, it's apparently safe to assume that they did make seperate costumes and body models

and now the texmod stuff is already happening. ME2 modding is looking really good right now.

    Nice shot

Looking through the forums I found a link to various ini's which people have modified and uploaded, one of which includes being able to select from every "casual" and "armoured" civvy clothing in the game for your casual look. It doesn't give you the option for Miranda's outfit, but it's a start (it does give you Jacob's armour though for some reason... maybe because it's Cerberus armour, rather than his own unique armour).

Scroll down to "StrudelMan's Alternative Outfits and Armor (Coalesced.ini)" for said ini.

Just a warning though, this adds an ammo mod too which regenerates your ammo every few seconds. Don't use this on a new game, or else you won't be able to progress past the first room due to the fact you can't reload your weapon with this mod.

Nothing is ever "not possible". The only question is: How much skill do I need to pull this off?
