That is most definitely a possibility. A customized key file will be picked up and used by any trainers in the same folder.

i just found the cause. guess what i found in my c drive?

    img18.imageshack.us/i/screen2vn.jpg/

I removed the offending file and your trainers started working again. Both bioshock 2 and Mass effect 2 trainers are now working.

I visited that site a while back to see what some of the fighting was about. I didnt like the design of his stuff (and the 20th century midi tunes) so i deleted the one trainer. I guess somewhere along the way i was left a present on my c drive.

if anyone else has the issue of num keys failing, make sure that dll isnt on your drive. lesson learned. Sorry PW.

edit: i believe everything PW has in his signature now.

Yeh, h4x0r has now resorted to dropping mysterious (hidden) .dll files on the root of C:\ with each trainer you download. Prob some nice malware to turn your PC into a botnet soldier or to steal your personal info and passwords. Why people continue to post and use his crap is beyond me.

this will sound nutty but i think that dll also messes up no script and adblock plugins in firefox! man thats not right!

Edit: i just submitted that dll to comodo, spybot and a few other sites as a trojan/keylogger. maybe it will help stop this hax guy.

to be honest comodo is kinda crap and you should use something a little better than that and i am surprised you weren't getting constant warnings with that on your computer

its not crap, its free. Free is better than nothing. At the time it was the only package i could find that was win 7 64 bit compatible. IM sure others have "finally" stepped up and put one out but im not going to shell out 50+ bucks a year for a security package.

im not sure what the dll did, of course i cant get a reply from the hax guy on why he needs a hidden dll on our c drives..imagine that.

I just downloaded an update from Live and its pretty much killed the Bioshock 2 trainer, even tho you can press the keys and it says that it's on or activated, nothing happens, so i think it's probably the game thats causing the problem.
