Kasumi, clearly she can fill the Tech role, so I am expecting Tech abilities. I'd think she will be similiar to Thane in contribution for the Line. I do hope she has full character dialogue on the Normandy, even if it is only 1-2 sections. I loved Zaeed's story, but his Normandy presence made him feel like he was tacked on to the game. Nice Loyalty Mission, but man he felt like scenary on the Normandy.

I agree. I'm hoping there'll be both a recruitment mission AND a loyalty mission, but I suppose just a loyalty mission will suffice. Either way a decent dialogue tree is required... which I think there will be, as I think there are rumours floating around that she'll be yet another LI.

Unfortunately, unless the Normandy crew is gonna start shacking up together Kasumi will be the last recruitable char, since the port observation deck is the last empty space on the ship.

I kinda hope they'll open up the cargo bay when they release the Hammerhead too.

    Exactly!

Looks like EA pulled the video from youtube. That pretty much equals confirmation that it's real. Thanks EA.

Okay, I'm pretty out of the loop. I'm spending more time playing the game than browsing the web looking for speculation about it. But this Hammerhead you speak of is a tank, yes?

I don't see the point in adding a tank. There are no currently built in missions to the game where a tank would be logically or logistically required. So unless they build in a mission with the release it's pretty pointless. Even in this case, it'll be like - maybe - 2 or 3 missions to use it, then that's it... hmm. I just don't see the point. At least with recruitable characters they have a use through out the entire game (if only as Collector fodder!).

    Ah well!

Wel of course a new mission would be required. I miss the Fallout 3 version of the DLC, wheere it was opensource. In any case I think they would probably release one or several missions expanding the ME 2. Even though I personally think they would release all this in a proper non-cerberus DLC. Would prefer that as that would be more comprehensive. Lets face it, work for free and work for money. The work for money would always come out better in the end.

In fairness, through the sales of ME2 they can probably afford to release most DLC free, or at least at a reduced price. The DLC being free will probably also boost sales of ME2.

Plus those who don't get a Cerberus access card will have to pay for access to the network, which is additional income. I'm not even sure if the DLC will only ever be available via CN, or whether it'll be released as stand-alone too... if so, that's more sales.

In this case... Free actually pays!

As for the Hammerhead, it's basically the Mako of ME2 from what I've read. And you're right about there being no missions where you could use it, but I imagine that'll be part of the DLC package.

Don't forget most of the planets you can explore in ME1 are basically just randomly generated terrain. I doubt it'd take much effort to generate a handful of terrain maps and attach them to planets which have no significance except scanning at the moment.

I can only hope they make some planets landable without being N7 missions... or else after you've completed the few missions that will be bundled with the Hammerhead release, there's pretty much no use for the content - unlike the current DLC content.

Oh and if they do sling more missions in, then they may increase the level cap, maybe? If you play all the N7 missions (check here for a list of missions Link)in the pre-DLC game - along with all the storyling missions - it is possible to hit the top level of 30... so maybe expanding it to the ME1 cap of level 40 might be a good thing too. More rewards in the beginning of ME3!

    We'll see!
