Sounds like your experiancing shin splints. It can be quite painful and really nothing you can do to stop them. You can ease it by doing extra long warm ups targetting the area in question. Or get a doctor to perscribe a drug. It's a common complaint within the military and sporting worlds.

I had shin splints. They suck. If you can, switch to swimming if you can. It gives you all the exercise as running without the strain on your legs. After a month or so your legs should be fine. Try not to put a lot of strain on your legs. They could form stress fractures and eventually break altogether if you keep it up.

Oh, and if you want to keep running. Ice your legs before and after running for 15 to 20 minutes. That's what helped me. And try to reduce the distance you run.

If you have access to a sauna, then use it.
