An alternative to event-written cheats is simply to alter your savegame.

It can be found in your default save location. E.g. (using HoI3 via Steam) .../Steam/Steamapps/common/hearts of iron 3/save games/

Once you're there, open up the savegame you wish to alter using notepad (or similiar word-processing programme).

((Note that it's best if you're not running the game whilst you are changing it.) Also do not forget to make a backup by copying the current savegame to e.g. your desktop.)

Run the search function in the savegame file. (Default: Ctrl+F) And type in "human=yes", without the ". You have now location all data that has to do with YOUR nation/state, no others, here you can change whatever you'd like to change, just scroll until you find your desired goal.

Example: I wanted to increase my manpower, so I just scrolled down until I found it.
manpower=0.627
And I changed it to:
manpower=9999.627


Finally I suggest not to tamper too much with the savegames, maybe it'll have undesired consequences - but then again, I did suggest you to make a backup!

hello was wondering if anyone has fooled with the saved game area of the tanks for example i wanted to see if there was a way to change the default strength to a higher number it gives me only 1,000 let say and i want 2,000 i change the stregnth and the highest to 2,000 and it shows in game at pause but when i unpause it goes back to default of 1,000 any help plz thanks

Compltelely off-topic, but does anyone know how to get the REAL flags into the game i.e. that germany has the flag of the third reich instead of the imperial flag?

I cant ask in the paradoxforums because paradox are completely hysterical and allergic to any questions on the subject...

I dont wear riding boots and matching pants nor do I own a brown shirt - but the inaccuracy is really annoying and political correct which is even more aggravating.
