they "disabled" it in MW2, and it was unlock later on so i think we just need to wait a little bit

it looks like the binded keys are being stored in the Player1.prf in "BioWare\Mass Effect 2\BIOGame\Profile". you can't really tell which key is binded to what though so it isn't much help.

both games have an other game engine ..

Mass Effect 2 based on a modified Unreal Engine 3 , so it is not so simple ..

Maybe... Maybe not... They must activate it... Maybe special patch for those who want it...I dunno
I love BioWare because they respect that some people want to play like they want... Now I'm disappointed...

maybe it comes after release date of the game , as a dlc package ..

Not to be negative, but I doubt very seriously that they enable the console in DLC. I would hope they do, but itd be more likely that someone figures out how.

If they removed permanently, then it wont be a simple file edit, as the complete procedures and functions in the game code will have been removed.

A future patch may open it up again.
