Depends on how much labor is required and if you get a new part or a reconditioned one. Between $300 and $600 would be reasonable.

Car's a Hyundai Elantra 2002, 222XXX Km and a stick shift.

So no, it's not diesel.

I am the most incompetent person ever. I called my dad and he said, probably just a wire that's loose (the one that goes from the - on the battery to the engine). I go play with the wire a bit, and voilà. Good as new.

Shame on me. Atleast I'll know next time
