Mass Effect Message Board  

Title, does Xfire detect the Steam version of the game? Thanks in advance. (I just bought it in that promotion)

Personally, I haven't got Mass Effect in Steam, but every other game that I play through Steam (ie. HL2 and GMod) are easily detected through xFire.
Sometimes you have to start the game, quit out of it, then refresh the games list in xFire to detect it.

Basically, through my experience it should work.
