    You are incorrect.

The EA paid a license fee to use a piece of Hans Zimmer music (I forget which movie it's from) for the Battlefield series.

And Activision hired Hans Zimmer to compose the soundtrack to MW2.

Composers tend to stay within a set of styles for all of their music the same way an author writes a certain way, so it is no surprise that one sounds derivative of the other.

Very true. Hans Zimmer particularly has a very distinct style, and one that fits military themes.

It's one of the things which MW2 does indeed get right. They paid for a great soundtrack and they got it.

In my opinion, Hans Zimmer is indeed best suited to military themes. He composed the soundtracks for Crimson Tide, The Rock, Broken Arrow, The Peacemaker, The Thin Red Line, Gladiator, Black Hawk Down... the list goes on. And they're better soundtracks than his non-military soundtracks.

    cool
You're no longer part of the System.
    You're above the System.
    Over it. Beyond it.
