I'm breeding an Arcanine, and wanted to know something first. Does the ability Flash Fire "Fire attacks do no damage to Arcanine and increase the power of Arcanine's fire-type attacks" mean that fire attacks are stronger to begin with, or I have to get hit by a fire attack to get my fire power raised? Thanks
Also: how would I get the egg moves Flare Blitz AND Crunch on the same Growlithe?

You have to get hit by a fire attack to get the boost.

The boost only lasts as long as the battle does.

I also got a hatched Growlithe with a naughty nature, a description of "Proud of its Power" and it already knows Crunch, Roar, and Flare Blitz. Now to evolve it, EV train it, and teach it Extremespeed.
