    You can choose not to cure them, and kill all the dalish instead. It's a one-or-the-other kinda thing.

    You can also get the optional golems for your army during the siege of denerim. Just don't destroy the anvil of the void. Sadly, you'll only get 4, but they are pretty powerful.

    You get 4 golems and lose Shale, if you have him in your party and choose not to destroy the anvil...

    Actually, if you have high persuasion skills you can convince Shale to stay.
