I hate dentist... my mouth feels funny
Tell that to those who don't have the opportunity to go to a dentist...

At least they can feel their jaws and control their drooling.

Well, in my defense, I did not claim that it wasn't a sport. I merely implied that paying adults millions of dollars to play a game at the same level as middle school kids is silly.
I don't mean to offend you, but you really have no idea what you're talking about at all. You're not a pro basketball player, not a basketball player at all from the sounds of it. The tone of your argument is extremely reminiscent of that of a video game fan boy - you have no experience or knowledge of the other platform and want to try prove that what you like is superior.
First of all, basketball is extremely physically tasking, running from one side of the court to the other quite often for immediate switches between offence and defence can be very tough - both mentally and physically. Something you seemed to think you know a lot about in basketball is teamwork. In basketball, teamwork is vital. Defending in the spot that you are supposed to be defending: a place your teammates trust you to be so that they can cover their space and be able to trust your teammates to cope with any sudden changes in play or break through defence. That's just one example of the importance of teamwork in basketball.
Also, on the point that you made about the improvement of skill: basketball is a much more tightly packed, fast action styled sport than most others i.e. hockey or american football, so what little difference you think you may see between pro and amateur basketball players could be well tuned skills accquired over years of practise.
So yeah, fair enough if you want to make fun of a sport that's not your own, I do it all the time with soccer, but you acting like a clueless fanboy isn't doing you any justice.
