Is there a way to enable the console with the Steam Version? I try going to Steam Browser > Dragon Age > Right Click Properties > Launch Options > Then I add -enabledeveloperconsole and apply it... Then I edit the keybindings.ini to launch the console with the `/~ key...
Once I get in game however, the main menu works, but once I am in-game... Nothing works... I can't move, none of the menus open... To exit the game I have to Alt/Tab... I have also tried creating a desktop icon from steam and adding the command after the "-launch steamapp xxxxx" or whatever it says... Same deal...
So any ideas?
You've set it up correctly in Steam. How do you have it in the .ini file? I have mine as Button_O. If you just have it as "/", it might be messing up your key bindings and making it so you can't move. If you look at other bindings in the .ini file, you'll see that non-alphanumeric characters are named something (eg, Button_Previous).
Switch your keybinding for the console to Button_O and see if that helps.

Hey, first post here and i hope this helps:
I have the steam version also, when u first use it i was like WTF my game froze.. then i read and read and read until...
When the game"freezes" it means the console is open even though the "symbols" are not at the top of the screen i get them like 1/2 of the time when i start typing "runscript" also, if that does not work for you just keep trying to type or close your eyes and pretend to have a console then type. In steam i did
"Right click> Properties(go to the general tab if not there) and select adv. launch options and put "-enabledeveloperconsole"" then start the game and go in game press the "tilde button" and then type a commands (remember runscript) and hit enter to close the console.
and for the poster above me, If you are using steam, become an unlimited member of this website and download the trainer for steam, otherwise you can go here for a skill trainer>>>>> Link<<<<<
