Games where cheap once, and people still stole them.
The PC is slowly dying due to the little warez kiddies, they easily say "Oh if its worth it ill buy it"... from all that say that im sure less than 5% actually do.
Another reason why developers dont have their hearts into it is because people are stealing their products left,right and centre. So expect inferior products.
Warez users can use all the excuses under the sun till they are blue in the face, but it wont change the fact they are thieves and wouldn't buy a game even if it was $5.
Actually a scientific study took place, and said that most of the people who download Music/games/applications - will more then likely buy them later anyways - Next time look up info before acting intelligent.

No offence, but games where never cheap. 15-20 years ago you paid 100 guilders for a game over here, which is rufly the same as now. the euro is a bit more.
And the PC is not dying, as a matter of fact it is the future. The pc will only become better and faster. As for inferior products, its mainly due to the fact that they have to make the game more complex then it was before, just to keep up with the broad variety of homeuser pc's and to keep up with the most modern technology on computers.
As for the scene, the number of people that download games, does not really effect game companies, yes they might lose a million from severall hundred thousends that choose to download. but they make hundreds of millions, and with the release of digital downloading like steam, etc. the number of people buying games went up again. And if a game was only even 20 euro or 30, people would buy that quicker then if it where more. ow and btw where not thieves, where just wiser with our money. Companies and goverments have exploited mankind for hundreds of years. The scene is just one way of saying no more.
None the less it is an endless debate and proberly not the right place to do it at.

"Scientific Study" will never be the whole truth anyway. People will say it even when anonymous they would buy when in retrospect they wont, its a way people have been using for years to somehow decriminilize what they are doing.
