The new one released today? GOTY Enhanced? Because the trainer doesn't find the executable when I try it, as I expected. I think you used to old GOTY version that everyone got upgraded to for free in addition to getting the remaster, they're separate entities.

Put in game request for the new one myself so hopefully enough others do too.

i also have requested for the GOTY enhanced to have a trainer, but i got a modded save i can import from so i'll use that til then.

That's not a half bad idea, don't think i have any of my old saves anymore though sadly. I wonder if Willow Tree still works on the old GOTY edition or if the save format changed enough it doesn't. Already tried it unsuccessfully on the new version's saves, no surprise there. Gonna check that out.

EDIT: Willow Tree, the save editor, does still work on the old version of the game still, even after today's update, for anyone who may be curious. Good way to kinda cheat in the meantime while the trainer gets sorted.

as expected, the game is re-compiled into 64 bit... so basically.. a complete do over. the notes won’t help except to tell you what ‘type’ some values were, and likely the saves don’t cross over. so this is a time sink since you have to play the game for several hours to ‘progress’

Borderlands GOTY Enhanced just means, recompiled in 64 bit with new netcode and ability to have large/64 bit textures. Unforunately, the 64 bit architecture opcodes are completely new so the game is a do over.

This won't be a 'quick' release, and it may not even have that many options right off the bat. These 'enhanced' releases are a cash grab if you ask me, as the gameplay is no different.

It might help to have saves (if they work) and where they go, so I don't have to play this game 100 hours to get to stuff.

Cash grab? No. It's free to owners of base games. They even give us DLCs for free. More of a promotion to Borderlands 3. Gameplay is not different but they have moved some of the improvements from BL2 over to BL1. They also added 6 new legendary weapons!

A lot of remasters are cash grabs, but this one actually makes significant improvements to the game.

The textures, shadows, antialiasing and world geometry have all been noticeably improved.

All of the pre-rendered movies were redone with the new graphics improvements. Angel's appearance has been completely redone to more close match how she appeared in Borderlands 2.

They added a mini-map. They backported the menu system from Borderlands 2. The backported the character customization system from Borderlands 2. They added new weapons.

The updates for Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel make a lot of the same improvements.

@PWizard I'll post mt imported save for you. Not sure if it will help but please have at it.
