if u have done 4/4 for the don type quests u can get the directions to see scordo. hes the leader of the dons men in the town. he will give u a way out out of town. as to getting patty to talk to u try the joke spell/scroll. hope this helps.
One of the men did mention Scordo, but he said Scordo would find me cause he was in hiding. I've completed all EXCEPT for Cid, I'm still looking for the spy.
