The editor works like a charm!! It makes transferring items between characters a breeze. Thank you so very much! I got Ice & Blood today; hopefully this works just as well.

I haven't got the I&B addon yet. Soon I will have it (fingers crossed for Christmas). I will test it then to see if it works on that.

Hopefully it does as nobody has posted any issues recently.

I had to RMA Ice and Blood, USPS crushed the case when they jammed it into my mail box. >_<

New Version of the Item Editor. Up to 0.5.3 now

Changes
Fixed maximum length of chest file which was too short for some chest files.
Fixed maximum number of items in chest file which was not enough for some chest files, can now read a chest that is full of amulets or rings.
Made number of items and item level have a minimum of 1 rather than 0.
Added the number of items in the chest slot to the button in the main window.

I have now got Ice & Blood and have included an updated Excel file with all the new items in the download.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can't open the chest. Could someone give me step by step instructions on how I use the editor?

When I use the open chest command, it doesn't list the decoded file, and the default crashes the editor, so I must be doing something wrong, I think.

Do any error messages pop up before the editor crashes?
Also what is your game version and windows version?

"The system cannot find the file specified."
"Error: There are no items in the chest. Returning to main window."
When I try again, it gives me a complicated error message about an unhandled exception occurring in the application, with the choices to continue (which does absolutely nothing) or quit (which exits the program, my way of saying it chrashed, sorry).

I have Vista sp2 and Sacred 2 2.43

Should work for the 2.43 version of Sacred 2.
The first message is normal behaviour for Vista, I have XP and don't know where the files are for Vista. That will pop up to get you to find the files manually.
There may be a problem reading the chest file once you have located it. Could you post the chest file on something like Mediafire and link to it so I can see what is going on please?
