First off, props to you JimboUK for creating this!!

Second off, I have a problem. I am trying to recreate some of those lightsabers. I have two of them from merchants and I use those to change the Item Type for the others. The damage type and color changes, but the pre- and suffixes don't, which means the boni stay the same too. I am obviously missing something simple. In blueprints.txt I can see there are 3 bonusgroups, but I'm not sure how to change those in your editor...

Can you, or anybody else who knows the answer, help me please?

PS Tried to download your earlier posted chest with lightsabers to see how you did it, but you set the download to private

It is still guesswork and it would really help me if there was some kind of excel sheet or table telling me what values do what... I have re-enabled the downloads for the lightsabers chest (was having a bit of a clearout but it's up there).

I haven't figured out a huge deal from the hex values, those values that I have got are the position of the item (x,y), size of the item (x,y), number of items in that position, item type, item id, item level, colour, and difficulty level. I think I have managed to figure out the cost of the item as well.

I also know where the sockets are located in the item and the type of socket but changing these simply defaults back to the defaults as set by the blueprint.txt file. I am sure there is a value somewhere that switches off the default behaviour for an item and will allow hex editing to add sockets and possibly other attributes, I just can't find it though

I would be interested in how you managed to change the boni and the prefix and suffix. I drop by sometimes in this thread and although I think not a lot of people play anymore I am still interested in trying to unlock all of the items secrets

Well, it isn't the most scientific way, but I took two similar items (two items that are the same, but have a different prefix suffix) and I looked at what values were similar and what values were the same. I used your editor to create a couple of extras of one item and I just tried changing one by one on each of them. When checking the items in-game I noticed some boni had changed.

Unfortunately, because the last reply was quite a while ago and I thought nobody would respond, I have deleted the items.

I can see if I can create some again if you want?

I know by changing the difficulty level, colour of the item you can unlock certain extra boni. You can also increase the boni by changing the level of the item as well as the difficulty level and colour of the item.

I would be definately be interested if you used a hex editor to change any values that the item editor doesn't. Looking around in some of the XBOX forums it looks like there is a value that will give silly values for the boni (+ 10000% and more) and that would be cool to find. I also have an idea that the values 5, 6, 7 and 8 bytes before the level value change boni but haven't tested it properly yet.

New version of the Item Editor now up to 0.5.4.

Changes
Added extra cleanup to eliminate crashing if loading an empty chest twice.
Added extra info to data dump files.
Added Date and Time information to the name of the chest backup file.
Added Game Version information taken from build number.
Added description of where values are for item in chest in drop down menu Help -> Item/Chest Design.
Visual tweaks to some of the dialog boxes.

Have added the download information to the first post in the thread.

Have fun making new goodies. jimbouk

Thanks for the reply, but, the thing with the more chance of sockets is that you get less magics which defeats the purpose.

Hi there.

The second part of your ansewer i saved and i only get it in theory, but not in practice, i'm a hardware guy, software is MORE of a mystery to me, but i am learning...

BUT, i have 2 copies of S2 installed on 2 CPU's the first is the latest V1.43 the second is v1.25 i tried to use your chest editor V53 but doesn't work, just D/L'd V54 will try it on S2 V1.25, the reason for V1.25 is to get the 4th and 5th type of relics with stronger armor and Def instead of Gen Skills, got the 4th & 5th but lower levels only better armor than others creating higher lever Seraphim to get them.

I have the same problem as cee_don.
I can't open the chest. This message appear when i click "open chest"
"Error: There are no items in the chest. Returning to main window."
Could someone tell me this problem??

I use window7 32 bit
and Sacred 2 2.34
