Hi, this may sound more than a little weird, but does anybody know if the number of squads that can be dropped in the campaign can be increased, by at lest one. I'd really like to try out taking the dread along with my usual squads. I use all the sqauds except for Cyrus.

Nope, only way to do it is by using the mod cheats here but the extra squad you bring wont gain experience.

By the mod cheats do you mean the wargear mod? 'Cause I don't see any others here, I'd really like some guides to that. level up doesn't matter, I'll do it after they all reach lvl 20

I looked into it and although you can load any squad (campaign squads, terminator squad, assault squad, tank, etc...) into campaign, you can't load your specific squad (meaning your squad levels and wargear) into the game. Only a regular level one squad. And there are two mods, the mod cheats and wargear mods. Here is a link:

Those are the ones I was talking about. It's not exactly what you were looking for but pretty close. Let's you load practically any squad into campaign missions and as many as you want.

Thanks a bunch man, sorry I couldn't to you earlier. Now, I've got another unreasonable question? Is there a way to alter the no. of points per level up(campaign of course)? Oh, yeah, I forgot, where do you paste the files exactly? I use the LIVE version of the game. Same goes for the wargear mod. The instructions were specific for the STEAM version of the game, so I didn't get any use out of it. BTW, do I need to start a new campaign for this to work, like the wargear mod?
P.S. Sorry to impose like this, and thanks in advance.

wargear mod only effects the first mission of the game.
the -dev command line option can be used with any version of the game, it does unfortunatly disable achievments and i think multiplayer - other than placing the files in the correct location this commandline is all that is needed to run a mod
as to where to put the files....
modcheat - \dawn of war2\ the root directory/folder of the game
wargear, you should extract with recursive to the above location, if you dont the file should go in - \dawn of war 2\gameassets\data\campaign\space_marines\missions\
as for the "hard" question yes, but would have to be done yourself - and if you take the time you can actually make your "mod" playable with live/achievements
the apps you would need can be found here:
SGA Viewer and RBF Viewer (SgaReader2) - forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=215443
the first app is used for viewing/extracting files from existing *.sga files
the second app is for rebuilding sga files after editing of files - remember to back up original .sga files, and that when you rebuild ALL the files need to be included (weather edited or not), which this app needs to be told to do
the third and fourth apps are for converting *.rbf files to *.txt (legible, but can be confusing for novice "coders", and back

I did what you asked with the wargear mod, but no joy. And I'd be really grateful if you could dumb down the second part of your instructions for noobs like me.

ok.....for the wargear mod...
there should be one file in the zip
directory path that the file itself needs to be in
\dawn of war 2\ <--- whatever your dawn of war 2 directory is.....could be anything....in steam for me its g:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\dawn of war 2\
anyways.. \dawn of war 2\data\Game Assets\DATA\campaign\space_marines\missions\
that is the location the file needs to be in
then if you are useing steam you need to set the launch option -dev
if not using steam right click the shortcut click properties in the short cut tab go to the end of the line in the target field and type (without quotes) " -dev" (also leaving any existing text in the box including any quotes....)
it should look something like (with quotes, without parenthis) ("G:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\dawn of war 2\DOW2.exe" -dev)
then all you need to do is play and beat the first mission....when you go to the squad setup screen you should of all the gear that was included in the wargear mod (its not all the gear available i might add)
as to the "hard" part....well...its HARD, not something that can be explained...atleast by me, its "modding" and unless you are atleast an amaeture programmer you would probably be stumped by even the dumbified explanation
