I havent been able to launch a real assault because im never in construction area when i try to build something on enemy territory. I noticed the enemy can build anywhere aslong there are not walls.

When i try to build anything, lets say a large military camp from one of my keeps on the other islands, theres never any room to build.

So all i have is my ships wich doesnt reach far enough to hit anything. I noticed the computer builds warehouses all over even when your allied it builds warehouses on the island it desires. Quite annoying since my towers dont attack when allied.

if there are any market buildings near your landing location, they prevent you from building anything yourself. Choose a location that is not near their structures, or blast the coast line ones with ships then land. if you cant seem to notice why you cant place buildings, press 'm' key it will show you by color what areas they have control over.

i had a funny situation, there was a large island where the AI have taken half of the island and i had the other half, then i just placed military camps next to all market buildings to capture them.

One thing i havnt tried yet is placing the oriental military mining camps around. Since you can make them invisible to the enemy, maybe lay them at strategic places and wait for the enemy to build nearby.
