I'm in the The Buraq Armada and a unlimited distance or increased distance for the reel out hook would really help here and in all missions. The float doesn't do any good in this mission because you can't move fast enough to get to the next plane, but if you could reel out and hook to each plane from a great distance it would make it a lot easier to complete.

For this particular mission I recommend 2 things.
1. The Bulldog 2. Patience
The bulldog will take down the air bikes with one well-placed 'nade. And all that's needed to get to the next Buraq is simply flying the one you're on up close enough and either jumping (if it's below you) or hooking and reeling the tail (if it's above you). You'll know you're "close enough" when the Buraq you're controlling won't go any closer to the one in front of it. If it's above you and you point the camera up at the tail of the one in front you should get the blue "able-to-grab" reticule and if you keep it there all it takes is a quick release and re-press of the grapple button, then just real in.
As for other missions... it's all a matter of learning to swing and when to let go to get either the height, or the distance you need. (Distance is easier, you release when you hear the sound and the release indicator shows.) I recommend learning this at a point where the game has just saved and then requires you to swing, like one of the mine fields right after a relay hack. That way you lose no progress if you die.
Spoiler:
If you didn't notice with the Buraqs, there is a panel near the front that gives you the green "rip" reticule. If you rip the panel off and then grapple the control panel underneath you can then control the Buraq and fly it up close to the next one.

I only get as far as the second plane, with my arthritis I can't seem to move quick enough to jump up from the tail of the third one to get on top of it.If I could get the blue able to grap on top of it from a great distance I could get to it and the next and so on.If a trainer doesn't come out with this option I wiil just have to wait for a saved game I can load to get past this mission. Thanks for the tips though.

It didn't seem that hard to me. The main thing I had to discover was to rip off that plate just above the ****pit, then access the plane like you would one of those nodes. Then the plane is under your control and you can zip it in towards the next plane. Get close, then let go, and aim at the next plane. Hope this helps.
