I've seen so many threads about the master chief, so i wanted to post about the arbiter...

The arbiter makes it through the portal thing and then flies away, but what happens to him then? does he die from a parasidic bug? snipers? cuz if he went back to his old home, wouldnt all of the brutes, grunts, jackals, and hunters start blasting at him? And do the arbiter and chief meet up again and destroy another ring or completely stop the flood l8r in another game? Post your opinions!

I'm pretty sure he just dies. The arbiter isn't a very interesting character, so it would be better to do away with him.

Well I don't care even if the master chief dies, he just has a cheesy suit...not much of a character shown by him LOL.

Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

The Sangheili fleet leaves Earth to go back to their homeworld Sangheilios. That planet is the Sangheili homeworld, the other species in the Covenant don't live there, each species has their own home planet.

As far as what happens to Master Chief and the Arbiter later on, there is a theory for Master Chief but not the Arbiter. This is the only theory that has any credibility to it (almost all other are just ridiculous BS made up by people who clearly know nothing about Halo):

I believe the most accurate rumor out there is that the entire Halo series is a prequel to the Marathon series. Master Chief might be the Cyborg the Marathon crew finds in space.

Now I have never played any Marathon game so I am unsure how accurate this claim is.

All of your posts were great, and SuperSkyline89, I never thought of that… I thought that the Arbiter would’ve been shot because of the beginning scene of Halo 2, (Where the Arbiter first wears the ancient Arbiter armor for doing whatever he did, I don’t really remember what tho…)

He failed to lead an army to stop Master Chief from destroying the first halo, so he had to be punished. (I'm pretty sure that's accurate enough.)

The Arbiter was the fleet commander of the Covenant navy at Alpha Halo. The Prophets made him the Arbiter because every one always dies doing what the Prophets ask of them, it was a way to kill him but still get something useful out of him. But now that all three Prophets are dead no one is left to kill him.

I think that the Arbiter would be an even more interesting character if there was more of a back story to him. He was introduced in Halo 2 simply as the Fleet Commander of the Covenant Navy who became the Arbiter due to his "failure to keep the sacred ring safe".
After Halo 2, quite a bit of story was lost between that time and Halo 3, where he is seen aiding Humanity against the Elite-less Covenant.

Now if there was a novel or a completely new game/Campaign Extension that was purely about this Elite, he would be a much more interesting character.
