was hard work to get to the stage im at, i need around 3500 noblemen to get to metropolis, but im running low on ground, i have almost as many patricians as i have noblemen, i was hoping i could convert some of thoose to achieve my goal.

im using 3 trainers at once and it works like a charm.

some of them usually advance to noblemen when finishing a cathedral stage.

I had the same problem and while going through the Patricians houses I noticed they were lacking the chapel faith. So make sure everyone is covered by the chapel (peasant building) and church (patricians building).

Doing that should get more Patricians to advance to Noblemen.

Envoys also help on trading licenses so be sure to create nomad houses on the same island as the citizens and patricians to get more licenses and make the patricians advance into noblemen.

    90 Envoys = 1 Trading License

Patricians can advance even with a chapel missing, so you don't need it.

As mentioned by the developers, they want to have mixed cities, in contrast to the old Anno games.

Best way to may all your buildings on a (small) island, is building several Alm houses. Beggers give you more citizens rights. Then build one or several large oriental cities (which can be on a northern island too).
This way, you can get a lot of patricians and with that some more Noblemen.

    liitiad is right.
but to advance a a house you should wait until all the peasants or the citisens or the partricians that are available to move in the houses are moved in the houses then the houses will be available to advance to the next level.
