in sum maps u may notice theres hills u cant get to unless u fly/port there. it may be wise to start a lil barracks up there and make javlin/flak troopers up there as they have long range.
sud anything build/pass thru there the flak troopers/javlin soldiers will gladly destroy it just beware or sickles or anything that flies nd has bombs.

Ive made warfacteries and somesort of def up there b4 and taken down big armies b4 they got to my base u may want to consider building anything that shoots up there as tanks can shoots up to u.
ive had no success making a successful airport base. you should no that unless the unit flys it will not c ur units unless fired upon.
