I believe the Genesis fix(es) suffer(s) from problems with not having completely beaten the 'Fade' protection the game utilizes. This can result in the strange in-game behaviour you are experiencing. I would bet this is the case, moreso than putting an older version fix on a newer version game.

There is a mini-image for this game, and you can use an emulation method with Daemon Tools to virtually mount the image and play. There are instructions for that on the web. This would be another option you might look in to if you are using the retail version It seems a little hit and miss in all honesty, but it has worked for some.

ArmA 2 uses the FADE DRM system. If the software detects that it was pirated, this system gradually removes features of the game as the user plays it, eventually rendering it unplayable.

As my retail DVD came as version 1.02 I can't use the trainers here as its just for 1.00. I'm not going to use the genesis trainer to reduce my expensive game to something unplayable. I even tried registering my key with Steam, sometimes it works, to play with the trainer but not this time.

I'm going to play this game on easy to get to grips with it. If theres a new cheat mod, trainer by then or just a simple godmode/ammo cheats then great. I'm not going to moan and will just have to rise to the challenge of this demanding game

You know you could experiment and edit your config difficulty file in Documents\ArmA 2 and open the file YOURNAME.ARMA2PROFILE with notepad. Just make sure you back it up. There are entries like AutoAim=0 and AutoSpot=1. Class recruit gets all the help so if you want the same help in regular/veteran/mercenary class, just add them.

Just do what was posted for ArmA 1 (Credits to the user who posted that.), use debug script commands.

Install this mod (Armaholic link) - Link, just place the PBO in the \Addons\ folder if you don't want to use a specific mod folder and launch parameter and then press ESC (Menu) and then Enter while in a mission and (Copy paste works) the following string.

player addEventHandler ["fired",{(_this select 0) setvehicleammo 1}];player addeventhandler ["hit", {_this select 0 setdamage 0}];player addeventhandler ["dammaged", {_this select 0 setdamage 0}];player SetCaptive True;

This will give unlimited ammo, godmode and the last little addition (SetCaptive) will make AI ignore you (Can be removed by just deleting that line.)

Till this date I can put my retail CZ game vers. 1.02.58134 to the latrine. I am sorry, but I can not play this game without traiber. Why I have not purchased a steam version???!!! Shame on me. Now I am left behind like the others.

It might not ship till than, but Direct2Drive, which is USA, has the game so, the game is out in English etc, but it doesn't ship until July 8th.
