have you got the latest sound drivers on your pc?

You can use "Everest" (Link) or you make a dxdiag: "Go to your *Startmenu* and there you go on *Execute* there you type in *dxdiag* and confirm it with *enter*!" then you can save the dxdiag where ever you want... in the dxdiag should are sound driver entries, wich you should compare (version v1.2.3.4=your version) with the "newest" version in the internet, from the hardware manufacturer.

Or skip that all and download them again - use that tool for complete *sound-driver* deinstall (Link) {language is multilangual, don't be shocked by the german internetpage - this program is for free, if you google for it you'll find the manufacturers site where you've to pay for it ;-)} - then you restart your system and then you install the newest drivers. This tool can delete all the installed drivers - you have to know exactliest, wich you have to deinstall - ok?!

You can try 2:
Did you installed the directX from CD, at the point it ask for it? It could be a directX conflict. Try to install directX from CD again.

Don't forget to install the right drivers for you system! Drivers are depending on your OS/32 or 64 bit system and of cause from your Hardware!

If that's all too much for you, upload the dxdiag on rapidshare or somewhere else... post the link, and the driver downloadlinkings will follow... I'll find the drivers, no problem.

he only forgot to switch the power button of his sound system to "ON"... hehe... LOOOOL!
