Today, I just updated my game to 1.5.0.22 as I was fed up of the game crashes and wanted a fix desperately. So after applying this update, I did not experience any kind of crahses for hours...But this did not do any good - Instead it made my problems even bigger.

The game 'shows' that it saves the game, autosaving dialogs popup at every routine, In addition, I also keep on saving manually at regular intervals. But this is just visuals.

The game does not save itself in real - It does not generate a single save file. After I closed the game and ran it again, I did not get the Continue tab or the Load game tab active! All I could do was to start from scratch.

I have seen the save folder in My Documents - I found that it was empty....So much for my hours of soiling in the game. If you have not experienced such problems or have solutions to it. Please help by posting a reply.

When I'm using the trainer it crashes the game, when I try to alt-tab back to game it wont let me. I have to use ctrl-alt-delete to close the game and trainer. Very frustrating if I dont constantly do a manual save....

I followed the instructions in this thread Link and the game and trainer coexist just fine for me.

I only got around to installing the game yesterday and patched it. I go to start playing today and it says there is a 1.6 patch out and ready to install. There is nothing on the official site about this patch in their update area.

I'm guessing the file that needs to be renamed as mentioned in that other thread is the Security Catalog file?

I renamed the file, but it still randomly crashes the game and I have to ctrl-alt-del to close the game and trainer. Then I have to restart both of them.

I got hold of the problem!

The game crashes because of XLive. If you disable XLive by renaming it catalog (.cat) file, some entries might be getting jammed that would crash the game or confuse its functions. I enable XLive back again, and I am playing the game without any problem since hours.

You MAY get your Trainer detected this way, but what is the loss? The cheats cover everything except the Hack option.
