Trying to get my game updated to 1.2 but it just keep running the installer but not updating the game anyone have any ideas on this?

I don`t i haven`t played in half a year so i play only if i go on holidays and my mum has Stronghold Crusader on the laptop but she probably won`t let me download stuff on it so i don`t know amything about using patches on this game!!!!!!
