What is the difference between the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Game of the Year Edition)?

you get a few extra maps with the GOTY edition

One more question, a lot of games have the original and Platinum Hits Edition, so again what are the differences and which one is better.
