i think it is just a skin so the normal hammer is just gold now with abit driffrent desigen other then that it works as normal

i dont get the idea of having a soft metal used on tools that take heavy impacts. like having a gold gun or a hammer as you say. either way probs just a skin and maybe a damage boost.
