Well I started off as an English Slave got outta slavery and wondered the seas aimlessly for a bit decided to start again...

Then I went for the ole Spanish Merchant which was alot easier to get going but aside from a few encounters with the Flying Dutchman I havent seen anything that would be a storyline to the game ...

I currently have the begginings of a good fleet and once I get them all trained up I wanna get on with the game but I cant seem to find any story to keep my interest ... Killing Pirates and Sacking ports does get abit repetitive.

Anyone found like a dead family to avenge or something?

I agree there seems to be a confusing storyline to this. With three choices to start I guess each one is different. But I don't like the choices myself. The merchant is the easiest one to start cause you can sail right away.

Bro...the game is good one but little boring!

In the game u have FIVE different ways to progress.(my view...)

Here, u can play under control of Four Governor-General of for nations...each general uses u as a privateer & gives u various missions for promoting ur rank.

or, just play as a Pirate its simple.

Yeah but I was hoping to discover some sort of lost city with maybe a few ships that are abandoned or something ... it said in the preview that you get to explore something in deepest amazonia somewhere around south america ...

Well I suppose I have been neglecting my missions... keeping your crew paid and drunk is a full time job :P ... suppose I only found out recently enough that that ship that you have to go find have green sails.. suppose something may come up if you keep bugging the ole governors :P

If u start playing as english then this guy has a long storyline .
    The other char's storylines ( merchant/advanture ) starts when u get a petant ( letter of marque ) from a nation governor .

For example , u can work for spanish governor till your relation with spain is ' admireable ' then u can get the petant after that talk to the governor again to start the spanish storyline .

LOL you guyz aint spent a minute on the game then. you talk to people in the taven you can unlock ship of soul quest - gets you insane ship in the end.

you can talk to shop keeper and ask for quest and you get blue bird quest which i believe allows cheaper stuff in shops etc and more ways of getting money, also you can get the blue bird. (xebec).

talk to oliver trust and accept his mission and talk to a begger certain one, but he sends you to the begger in caracus and basically you unlock the secret town which you where looking for (im there now).

talk to attila in bermuda and you can eventually get yourself married. (not recommended lolz)

go to the taven in cumana (i think) and you get in part of enchanted city quest which leads you to aztec city.

and talk to bermuda resisdent and you get a quest from morgan eventually which allows you to take over cities. and own them.
