something i have noticed in other games is that if u are running xp media center or u have an infared device on ur laptop (only laptops tend to have them) then it interfers with consoles comming up in games, i suggest trying to disable any infared device and trying again

Is there a cheat that sets the hunger, energy, fun, etc... all to perfect? Is there possibly one that keeps it perfect all the time?

Hmm, this only seems to be the case if you use the cheat career method, since you just change proff, you dont actually 'quit'

Well, I switched career from science to finance (or what it might be in english) but I DID keep the mad scientist perk. Maybe you've done something wrong if you lost it?

Look above:

Use "testingcheatsenabled true", Shift-Click on your mailbox and set motives to static. They are maxed automatically and won't go down until you shut down your game (or set motives to dynamic of course).

I found that the FamilyFunds cheat now only works when a family is already in a lot on the map and not in the Sim Bin like Sims 2

Also the new cheat FreeRealEstate you need to type in the name of the family after it. Like FreeRealEstate Johnson
then you can place any family in the Sim Bin in any lot no matter what it costs.
