I often get this message just before I complete a really long mission.

I had the same problem when using the trainer. I found it's because I destroyed a mission specific ship before the ship was supposed to be destroyed.

I destroyed a Japanese carrier in part 1 of the mission when the carrier wasn't supposed to be destroyed until part 2.

I really don't know what to say really i have no problems, did you u install the trainer before the game was installed?

It's not trainer related. It's more likely a GPU or Driver issue, as it stops happening if you run the game in a window, rather than full screen.
