The easier way to change influence is the save editor (which is free) and you can find it in manny manny neverwinter sites.

Dont get angry. Both ways worked for me but the editor is more stable plus you can save different characters.

Another way is with the buld in tool. Check the main menu of the game. Did you notice a tool label?
