and for some reason it will not let me trade migrated pokemon why is this?

I dunno... I traded a migreted Vibrava for a Giratina and had no problem with it...

It's probably also due to the GTS glitch (levels not showing). Migrated pokemon can be traded just as easily as any other pokemon.
