Well I've had it for a week now & since any & all instructions are apparently a closely guarded secret. I have come to the conclusion that it REALLY sucks & I wasted my time & money on it for nothing.

u know..my word of advice to u is...don't waste anymore of ur precious time or money on gaming...because to me...it seems u're missing the very essence of gaming. i've been gaming for about 26 years now..its been a hell of a long time....and even i can't say for sure..that i understand it completely..but that's what makes it so challenging...so fascinating...so interesting. its alrite to vent ur frustration and come in here and discuss stuff related to gaming..but the way u're berating this game..seems like an insult to the gaming community in general.

    i totally agree with saurabhfzd

we are trying to help you , but if you dont put Time and efford in this game , you will never learn it.
games like Company of Heroes take time to master if you dont got the time or the will to master them, then dont even bother playing them at all.

    sry for bad english agian

As I said when I first started posting I've never played any of the games in this series. Apparently I've never played any games of this type. I realize that I've come off rather harshly however most if not all games or for that matter any software that I've purchased/played over the years have had some form of instruction/support other than 1 page of 'Hot keys'.
I've run the tutorials repeatedly but some of them (for the most part) are hypothetical since there is no help in getting to the point that they are useful. I tried the Tiger Ace campaign the other night and didn't see any vehicles that I was supposed to be shooting at. When I would turn my turret to try to see targets it would tell me that I'm not gonna get anything done cruising around. It would tell me to blast every vehicle on the road but not seeing any I would move towards the road only to be threatened with a court martial if I didn't bring my tank back to where it was. Then "walla" there's the window telling me I've been defeated.
I'm finding it rather dis-heartening & hard to keep interest in.

yes...u did come across as rather harsh...but...i guess...that's understandable given the fact that u obviously spent money and time on it...but u have to give it time. i never liked playing RTS's..hated them...i was a hardcore FPS fan..i accidentally stumbled on COH while browsing through some games at the store...and..what the heck...i said to myself...lets try this...being a self tutored researcher of WW2 and its history and military doctrine in general. and this game was like a wake-up call...so authentic..all 3 games...down to the very last detail...a person gets to experience WW2...the chaos...the mayhem..the tragedy of it all and what it feels to be a battle field commander. it was so overpowering...so emersive. so...give it time...not to just this game...but to gaming in general. its a whole new world...better things r yet to come...u wait and see...

I've been gaming for many years myself on & off the computer.
I've taught myself most of what I know about software (Games, PSP, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML) & computers in general.I too am a hardcore FPS fan (Wolfenstein, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Far Cry, Far Cry2) who stumbled across this in a store & said what the heck. I also understand military doctrine as I am a Vietnam era vet. This game is more than I'm used too for a game.

well...its good to know i'm interacting with a military man. i'm sure that the Vietnam war wasn't a happy experience..so..i think u should lay off the War games...not advisable re-living old memories. because..games r supposed to be fun...they r supposed to make u forget..although briefly...the daily trials and tribulations. or maybe u should take a peek at Tom Clancy's EndWar..its a war game...but...of the future. gives u a different perspective. i enjoyed Far Cry...but..not Far Cry2...now Crysis...that was fun...

I was a crew chief in the Air Force and didn't have to experience the fighting first hand. I only play parts of Far Cry2 (riding around shooting people) since after finishing it I was very dissapointed with the way it ends.
I don't know but I've heard through the grapevine that the Tom Clancy games are pretty cheesy. When I went to the store I was looking more for maybe Fallout 3 or something along those lines. Now if I see Crysis I may have to pick it up.

i hope u do understand...that i don't mean to lecture u...or..preach...god knows i've made mistakes too...big and small..spent and lot of time and wasted tons of dough in the past several years on fairly stupid stuff..but i've always managed to view all my past experiences as a form of education..and i'm not ashamed to admit..that i'm still learning through new experiences everyday..
